LC Tech UVE™ Photochemical Reactor

The LC Tech UVE™ Photochemical Reactor is used in the Analysis of Aflatoxins.

LC Tech UVE Photochemical Reactor

Aflatoxin B2 and G2 are naturally Fluorescing and can be detected using a Fluorescence detector.Aflatoxin B1 and G1 are only partially Fluorescent. These need to be detected using a Mass Spectrometer, or require post column derivatisation using Bromine or Phochemical Reactor to enable quantitation.

The UVE™ Photochemical Reactor uses water in the mobile phase and a UV source to derivatise B1 and G1 to fluorescing entities.
