Difficult Sample Filtration Made Easy

Many sample analysis techniques require particulate free samples.

Syringe filters are typically employed to prepare the samples.

Samples with a large proportion of particulates and fine materials can sometimes block the filter leading to:

1. the use of multiples syringe filters to filter the sample, or
2. excessive effort to filter a relatively small amount of sample.

There is a simple solution – the use of Syringe Filters with Integral Pre-Filter.

The Pre-filter prevents the main membrane from being "blinded" by material and results in:

1. Greater filtration capacity from a single syringe filter (saves costs!!)
2. Easy filtration of difficult samples.

The Integral Pre-Filter is typically Glass Micro Fibre but is also available in Poly Propylene.

Syringe Filters with Integral pre-Filter are available for Manual Sample Processing as well as products specifically developed for use on Robotic Samplers such as those used on Automated Dissolution or Content Uniformity Testing in Tablet Testing instruments.

If your application is manual but will be transferred to an Automated system in time then the products developed for automation can also be used manually. This will save time on validation in the future as the membrane will have been verified for use as part of your initial studies.
