Disinfecting Water Quality Equipment

With the world changing due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it is no surprise that careers in environmental science will have to be adjusted to the current climate.  Workers in environmental science are used to being social and active in their careers and this pandemic has certainly changed things for them. When returning to work, there is likely to be a new ‘normal’ as new operating procedures will be put into place to keep staff safe and to prevent spreading the infection.

Although facilities are to be kept clean, it is important to focus on the instruments used and how to ensure that these products are as germ-free as possible. The following guidelines are written to inform about the difference between cleaning and disinfecting, how to clean the equipment and how to make sure that it is disinfected correctly to reduce the spread of bacteria and viruses that can be transmitted.

Find out more about what products and procedures are needed to make sure that the equipment used is being cleaned and disinfected correctly.
