ThermoFisher Scientific Menzel has recently consolidated a portion of its glass slide manufacturing from Budapest, Hungary to Shanghai, China. As a result of this move, two products will be discontinued from their SuperFrost Plus adhesion slide range.

The parts affected are:

Superfrost microscope slide Plus white, 25x75mm, grinded 90°, pack of 72 (PN 4AJ-6251723);

Superfrost-OT Ultra Plus white, 25x75 mm (PN 4AJ-7608105).

In the discontinuation notice from the manufacturer, the company informs that the production of these products will end in April 2019. However, for each of these parts, the manufacturer has provided an alternative, that have all the handling and adhesion properties of Ultra Plus slide.

Alternative to 4AJ-6251723: Superfrost-OT Ultra Plus, white, 25 x 75 mm, grinded 45°, pack of 72 (PN 4AJ-6227282);

Alternative to 4AJ-7608105: Adhesive microscopic slides, 25x75 mm, thickn.1 mm ground adges, white, pack of 72 (PN 4AJ-9161155).

Lastly, the company states that new orders for the discontinued parts will be accepted up to January 31st 2019.
