Beta radiation shielding protects against low energy Beta rays. They reduce the radiation exposure when using isotopes such as 32P, 14C or 35S to values below the designated limit. It is proven that protection equipment made of acrylic with a density of 1.15g/cm³ and a material thickness of 6.9mm effectively stops Beta particle radiation. These products have a thickness of minimum approx. 10mm and therefore offer the best protection against low-level Beta radiation.
