Water Bath with integral shaking. Choice of two platforms* available to provide linear or orbital shaking action. The platforms require no special fitting and use strong magnets, which couple to the drive unit underneath the stainless steel tank. Vessels are securely held in place on the stainless steel platforms by a series of high-tension springs, which will accommodate almost any size and combination of vessel. Platforms accomodate the following Erlenmeyer flasks: 8 x 250ml, or 6 x 500, or 4 x 1000ml capacity.
The heater is mounted underneath the tank to allow easy cleaning.The SBS40 comes complete with a Low Water Level Sensor that causes a warning to flash on the display to indicate when the water level is low. It cuts power to the heater to prevent the bath from running dry. In addition, the design incorporates an over temperature protection system that tracks the set temperature and controls the heater in the event of a fault. Minimum set temperature is 10°C.
A drain is also incorporated to aid emptying of the bath.
The speed and temperature controls are easy to use.The shaking speed is adjustable and electronic feedback control ensures accurately maintained speed. The water bath temperature is set and monitored via the easy to read LED display.

A range of stainless steel accessories designed to accommodate popular tube types ranging from 1.5ml micro tubes up to 50ml centrifuge tubes is available. A polycarbonate cover designed to reduce heat loss and evaporation is also available. The polycarbonate cover allows the cover to be hinged either side of the bath depending on working conditions and preference.
