The Plate Spinner MPS 1000 is a centrifuge that is designed for a quick and easy centrifugation of samples in PCR plates and microplates. Most centrifuges are large and take up vital space needed on a laboratory bench. However, the plate spinner MPS 1000 is extremely compact with a small footprint, just 6 x 6 inches in size.

The microplates are loaded in the slot at the top of the plate spinner and sealed plates are loaded vertically. Surface tension means that samples stay in place and there is no danger of spilling samples. When the lid on the plate spinner is closed, the rotor accelerates the microplates to 2,500 rpm. The open button engages with the brakes and brings it to a stop when the button is pressed. When it comes to sensitive applications, the centrifuge can be used within a cold room.
